Trans-European telecommunications networks
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published a call for proposals for projects in the domain of EURO-ISDN as a trans-European telecommunications network. The proposed projects should be original and planned to answer needs, and be implemented, in several Member States. Community financial aid may take the form of co-financing studies or, where complementary intervention is justified for innovative applications of public interest, subsidies for the interest on loans, contributions towards fees for loan guarantees, and direct grants only in duly justified cases. The maximum level of Community financial aid is defined in the Information Package. The following project profiles will be considered for this call for proposals: - TI 1.1: Trans-European telecommunications networks for health; - TI 1.2: Trans-European telecommunications networks for access to Europe's cultural heritage; - TI 1.3: Trans-European telecommunications generic services; - TI 1.4: Trans-European telecommunications applications and services for SMEs; - TI 1.5: Trans-European telecommunications networks for telework and new work methods. The selected project profile must be specified in all correspondence. An Information Day will take place in Brussels on 4 April 1997.
