Turning to the sun for energy solutions
The EC-funded PV-EC-NET project, forming part of the EESD programme, set out to improve the links and coherence among research projects in the area of PV within the EU. The aim was to increase budget efficiencies and carry out market analysis on a global scale in order to evaluate the position of the EU PV sector. As part of their efforts towards their objectives, project partners compiled a comprehensive public website as a key common depository for shared views and conclusions. The site at http://www.pv-ec.net(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie) contains information on all project partners as well as on the structure of the project. As a main tool in the project's efforts to implement an expansive information network, the website includes details on project-related activities and specific data on PV research across Europe. The overall aim of the website is to essentially facilitate information exchange not only across project partners but also towards all stakeholders, which would include the public. National governments would have a lot to benefit from accessing this information and understanding how EU PV research could benefit their own countries and what their contributions might be.
