SMT programme - Call for proposals for RTD activities
The European Commission, DG XII, has published a call for proposals under the specific RTD programme in the field of Standards, Measurements and Testing (SMT). Eligible entities are invited to submit proposals for shared cost projects in the following areas of the SMT Work Programme: - Theme II (Research related to written standards and technical support to trade): . II.2.2 European measurement and testing infrastructure; . II.2.3 Support to the needs of custom laboratories; - Theme III (Measurements related to the needs of society): . III.3.1 Health and safety; . III.3.2 Methods and reference materials for environmental monitoring; These sub-themes are restricted to novel and innovative calibration tools (including certified reference materials) and the development of novel measurement methods; . III.3.3 Protection of cultural heritage; . III.3.4. Justice system. Proposers should ensure that they obtain a copy of the Work Programme, Information Package (1996 edition) and application form. These may be obtained from the Commission, or downloaded from the CORDIS World Wide Web server. Entities from Central and Eastern European countries may be eligible to receive Community financial support to participate in this call for proposals - details of this may be found in the Information Package.
