TSER second call for proposals - Preliminary results
The second call for proposals for the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of Targeted Socio-Economic Research (TSER) was launched in October 1996 (OJ No S 200 of 15.10.1996). A total of 310 proposals were received, in response to this call, by the deadline of 15 January 1997. These were divided as follows between the three areas covered: - Area I. Evaluation of science and technology policy options in Europe: 89; - Area II. Research on education and training: 96; - Area III. Research into social integration and social exclusion in Europe: 125. The total funding requested amounts to ECU 233 million. The budget available for the call is between ECU 30 million and ECU 35 million. The final selection of projects to be financed is pending formal approval by the Commission and full results should be available shortly.
