Technical and scientific support to the HPCN domain of the ESPRIT programme
The European Commission, DG III, has published an open invitation to tender for the provision of technical and scientific support to the HPCN domain of the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of Information Technologies (ESPRIT). The invitation to tender is aimed at selecting appropriate research bodies and centres, universities and undertakings, able to carry out successfully the provision of services supporting the high-performance computing and networking (HPCN) activities of the ESPRIT programme. Services requested are divided into the following six lots: - Lot 1: Support activities to ESPRIT R&D project relating to humanitarian demining; - Lot 2: Measurement campaign in support of humanitarian demining; - Lot 3: Software interoperability and platform independence - the next generation of simulation environments; - Lot 4: Demonstration and promotion of distributed maintenance for embedded system applications; - Lot 5: Cluster computing for data-intensive applications; - Lot 6: Demonstration and assessment of HPCN in healthcare applications. Tenderers may bid for one or more lots. For each lot a separate tender is required.
