Call for proposals concerning AIDS prevention
The European Commission, DG V, has published a call for proposals within the framework of the Community action programme on the prevention of AIDS and certain other communicable diseases (1996-2000). The Commission is seeking proposals for projects, from public or private bodies and non-governmental organizations, within the four areas of the programme: - A: Surveillance and monitoring of communicable diseases; - B: Combating transmission; - C: Information, education and training; - D: Support for persons with HIV/AIDS and combating discrimination. The priority areas are set out in detail within the annual work programme for 1998, which may be obtained from the Commission. Projects should demonstrate added value at Community level, either by involving participants or activities in several Member States, or through the ability to be adapted for application in other Member States.
