Telematics applications potential in energy and natural resource management
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published an invitation to tender for the completion of a study on telematics application potential in energy and natural resource management. The purpose is to: - Study the need for, and the potential of, telematics applications (in the form of specific application scenarios) in the area of energy and natural resource management; - Provide an analysis and recommendations for research topics which can be used as input for the ongoing and upcoming RTD&D projects in the "Telematics for the Environment" area. A series of potential scenarios and related ICT technology requirements will be drawn up and analyzed for market potential against a set of criteria. These scenarios will help the Commission in preparing new actions, which will support future research, technological development and demonstration activities.
