Scientific examination of food questions
The Commission has adopted a Decision updating the inventory and distribution of tasks to be undertaken within the framework of cooperation between Member States in the scientific examination of questions relating to food. The Decision updates the list of tasks to be undertaken, the Member States involved in carrying them out, and the date by which these tasks are to be completed. The tasks covered by the Decision include work in the following areas: - Flavouring substances; - Microbiology; - Contaminants; - Intake and exposure assessments; - Novel foods; - Nutrition, allergies and health; - Packaging materials.
