The European Commission, DG IA, has published the 1997 contracts brochure for the TACIS technical assistance programme covering Russia and the Inter-State Programmes.

The brochure provides details of contracts which will be funded under the 1997 budget. Interested organizations may use the brochure to submit expressions of interest in particular contracts. When these are put out to tender, they will then receive the invitation to tender and supporting documentation.

The 1997 budget includes projects in the following fields:

- Inter-State Programmes:

. Transport;
. Telecommunications;
. Environment;
. Enterprise restructuring and development;
. Human resources development;

- Russian Federation:
. Food production, processing and distribution;
. Environment;
. Energy.
