The European Commission, DG VI, has published an invitation to tender for the provision of technical assistance in the field of inspection by remote sensing and the identification of agricultural areas.

The Commission wishes to call on two experts to assist the Member States in the following tasks:

- Lot 1) Implementation of the methodology for inspection by remote sensing, evaluation of tenderers' work in the Member States, provision of satellite pictures, contacts with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra;

- Lot 2) Creation and updating of the identification of agricultural plots in the field of arable soil and permanent crops (pastures, vineyards, olives).

One position is envisaged for each of the above-mentioned fields. Tenders will be accepted from natural persons or companies. The tender may cover one or both of the lots referred to above.
