Experiences in software evolution and reuse
A report entitled "Experiences in software evolution and reuse" has been published as part of the "ESPRIT Research Reports" series produced by Springer. The publication is based on trial applications of solutions for planned software evolution and reuse proposed by a number of projects supported by the Community's specific research programme in the field of Information Technologies (ESPRIT). Reports from real-world application of advanced techniques for software evolution and reuse are assembled and analysed. These reflect experiences in different companies working in different domains and using diverse software development methodologies. Three typical scenarios are described which highlight the approaches recommended and the lessons learned from the experiences presented. The material provided will be invaluable for software managers and consultants.
