International conference "Regional Cycles: Regional Economy towards Sustainability"
Purpose and objectives of the conference: Regional economy as a concept for sustainable development has raised a lot of interest among researchers and policy makers in the last few years. However, a number of issues are still unsolved and stakeholders need to exchange their experience and ideas in order to build a bridge between research, policy and practical implementation. The international conference "Regional Cycles: Regional Economy towards Sustainability" will support this exchange and provide a stage fo facilitate and stimulate the establishment of contacts that will lead to future international research cooperation. Decision makers and practitioners from local, regional and national authorities as well as experts on international policy, researchers, business representatives and consultants will have the opportunity to discuss a broad range of issues related to regional approaches to sustainable economy. The theme "Regional Cycles" is interpreted in the widest sense, including financial, substance and material cycles, as well as the connection between global and regional levels. Contact: Dipl.-Soz.
