Framework Programme 6 - IST workshops

The DTI is planning three technology-oriented workshops for late February 2003 concentrating on the three IST Call 1 "Strategic Objectives" mentioned below.

These "by invitation only" events will bring together experts in each field who possess knowledge of the European Commission's thinking and on the emerging situation in FP6 and will consider ways in which UK industrial interest might be better focussed and UK participation strengthened in response to the first Call.
1. "Towards a global dependability and security framework",
2. "Networked audiovisual systems and home platforms" and
3. "Technology-enhanced learning and access to cultural heritage".

Your e-mail should include brief background information on your organisation, your project plans within FP6 (such as nature of project, scope and state of preparation) and any thoughts you can offer on how UK industrial involvement in FP6 could be stimulated. We cannot guarantee to include everyone but will contact you by e-mail nearer the time to let you know whether you can be accommodated. The events will be held in or around London.
