FIZ Karlsruhe makes technology and management database TEMA available on STN International

Karlsruhe, June 2003 FIZ Karlsruhe, one of Europes leading providers of sci-tech information services, has added the bibliographic database TEMA to its comprehensive product portfolio.

TEMA, which is available on the renowned online network STN International, covers a wide range of German and international literature in the areas of technology and management, e.g. mechanical engineering and plant construction, electrical engineering and electronics, information technology, materials, textile technology, medical technology, management and operational organization. TEMA informs on R&D, innovations, new products and procedures, as well as developments in business enterprises, and therefore is particularly suited to the needs of both information professionals and research scientists interested in technology management and operations issues in the engineering industry. Produced by FIZ Technik, Frankfurt/Main, Germany, the bilingual (English & German) bibliographic database currently contains more than 1.4 million citations from 1990 to present and increases by about 100,000 records per year. It is updated weekly, thus always providing users with up-to-date information on the latest developments. Records comprise bibliographic data, indexing and an abstract as well as Internet addresses of publishers and full-texts, if available. Sources are journals, conference proceedings, research reports, books, and theses. A thesaurus will be installed shortly and thesaurus terms will then be searchable in the Controlled Term field (/CT). The file is available on STN International, the worlds premier online service for scientific and technical information. STN International can be accessed by dialling directly into STN Classic, the proprietary online service, utilising the powerful client software STN Express with Discover!; or via STN on the Web using a standard web browser (http://stnweb.fiz-karlsruhe.de(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)) Full-text publications on the searched subjects can be ordered online, using the STN Full-Text Solution providing connections to various document delivery services, or through FIZ Karlsruhes document delivery broker service FIZ AutoDoc at http://www.fiz-karlsruhe.de/autodoc(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie) ,For further information please contact:,FIZ Karlsruhe,STN Europe,P.O.
