The European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories has issued a call for papers for its 19th symposium, to be held in Valladolid, Spain, from 31 May to 2 June 1999. The event will be sponsored by organizations such as the European Space Agency, the Council of Europe and the European Commission. The aim of the symposium is to provide a forum for scientists, users and industry to exchange ideas, opinions and experience.
The symposium will address remote sensing in the 21st century, with the focus on economic and environmental applications. Papers, to be presented orally or by poster, are welcome in the following broad areas:
- Land applications and environmental monitoring;
- Water applications;
- Atmosphere and global change;
- Data calibration and data correction;
- Education, training and new information techniques;
- New sensors and strategies for the 21st century.
