INTECOL'98 - Seventh International Congress on Ecology

INTECOL'98, the seventh International Congress on Ecology of the International Association for Ecology (INTECOL), will take place in Florence, Italy, from 19 to 25 July 1998.
The theme of the congress, "New tasks for ecologists after Rio'92", is a call to all ecologists, to consider the progress achieved since the Rio Earth Summit in 1992 and to further examine the relationship between human activities and the environment, from both a scientific and a social perspective.
The EU's specific RTD programme in the field of Environment and Climate will be represented at INTECOL'98, with a general presentation of the programme's objectives and achievements, as well as several individual presentations by EU-funded projects.
