Computer security, audit and control

COMPSEC'98, the 15th world conference on computer security, audit and control will be held in London, United Kingdom, from 11 to 13 November 1998. The conference will be sponsored and hosted by Elsevier Advanced Technology.

The conference will take in three days of presentations on issues related to computer security and its impact on business, with over 60 sessions in total. Topics to be covered at the conference will include:

- Business continuity;
- Cryptology;
- Electronic commerce;
- Electronic publishing;
- E-mail security;
- Intranet security;
- Telecom security;
- Legal issues;
- Network security;
- Risk management;
- Windows NT;
- Year 2000.

In addition, pre-conference workshops on electronic commerce and the prosecution of hackers will be open to conference participants and will take place on 10 November 1998. The seventh annual Directors' Briefing on increasing awareness of computer security issues at board level will also take place during the conference.
