Fish sampling with electricity

A workshop on fish sampling with electricity will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 16 to 18 September 1998, and will be supported by the European Commission within the framework of the Industrial Materials and Technologies research programme (BRITE-EURAM).
The aim of the workshop is to develop a draft standard in this area which can then be circulated according to CEN regulations, and will eventually be submitted to CEN. Workshop participants will be selected from experts nominated by the national standards bodies, and additional experts will be selected by the organising committee.
Future research needs in relation to the overall work on fish abundance will be discussed during the workshop. The next workshop to be organised in this context will be on fishing with gill nets.
