A biotechnology forum - the second Carrefour français des biotechnologies - will take place in Clermont-Ferrand, France, from 15 to 17 September 1998. Organised by the regional development agency for the region (ARD-Auvergne), it is aimed at all those with an interest in biotechnology, whether industrial or research-oriented.
The event will feature both conferences and round-tables where key topics in biotechnology will be discussed. In particular, subjects to be addressed include working in biotechnology, the biotechnology sector in France, and financing and support programmes for biotechnological research. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss project ideas and possible applications of new technologies. A catalogue of all participants will be circulated in advance to facilitate setting up such meetings.
