Preparing for the Fifth Framework Programme

A seminar intended to help UK researchers prepare for the launch of the Fifth Framework Programme will be held at Cranfield University, United Kingdom, on 24 November 1998. The event is aimed at researchers, research managers, and liaison officers from universities, industry, and public sector laboratories.
The seminar aims to raise awareness of the potential of EU research funding under the upcoming Fifth Framework Programme. In particular, it will emphasise the need to plan ahead, preparing proposals and engaging partners before the formal launch of calls for proposals. As well as a presentation from a representative of the European Commission, who will provide up-to-date information on the shape of the Programme, participants will also hear from those with past experience of participating in the EU's research programmes. Organisations and support services which can provide assistance to researchers in developing proposals will also present their services.
