Bled Electronic Commerce Conference

The 12th international Bled Electronic Commerce Conference will be held in Bled, Slovenia, from 7 to 9 June 1999. The Bled conference is an annual event organised jointly by the University of Maribor, Slovenia, the Slovenian Ministry of Science and Technology, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, and the national Electronic Commerce project.

Key features of the conference, which offers an important international forum for exchanging information on all aspects of electronic commerce, include:

- A fully refereed "Research Track", devoted to researchers in all aspects of electronic commerce;

- An "Industry Track" which attracts representatives from business from all over Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region;

- An exhibition of information technology for electronic commerce;

- A graduate student consortium for students researching any aspect of electronic commerce.

The conference organisers are presently calling for the submission of research papers and proposals for panel discussions on topics such as the following:

- Electronic commerce and the Information Society;
- Trade facilitation and trade points;
- Complementary technologies and the supply chain;
- Electronic commerce and SMEs;
- Process re-engineering and systems development;
- Technologies and approaches for electronic commerce;
- Electronic publishing;
- Cost and benefit aspects of electronic commerce.
