Annual Congress 2007 of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), Stockholm

The European Respiratory Society (ERS) is organising its 17th Annual Congress in Stockholm, Sweden between 15-19 September 2007. The ERS Congress has grown to become the world's largest gathering in respiratory medicine with delegates coming from all over the world. The mission of the ERS is promoting research, fostering education, stimulating knowledge exchange and improving patient care.

The extensive scientific programme of the ERS Stockholm 2007 Annual Congress will be one of the richest ever on lung health and disease. It will address the latest advances in the areas of clinical diagnosis and treatment including among other items 40 symposia and 20 Hot Topic Symposia and Grand Rounds. Free communication sessions, including 86 Oral Presentation sessions, 64 Poster Discussion sessions, Thematic Posters and Electronic Poster sessions are also organised.

Early-bird registration is up to 10 July 2007.The European Respiratory Society (ERS) is a not-for-profit, international medical organisation with over 8,000 members from 100 countries and was founded in 1990. It is the largest society in Europe in its field. The main objective of the Society is to promote respiratory health in Europe in order to alleviate suffering from respiratory disease. This is accomplished by promoting basic epidemiological and clinical respiratory research, collecting and disseminating scientific information, organising congresses and conferences, producing scientific publications, supporting training and continuous education in respiratory medicine and collaborating with organisations representing patients.
