AL-Partenariat'99

AL-Partenariat'99, a forum for facilitating meetings between entrepreneurial companies, will be held in Mexico City, Mexico, from 24 to 26 February 1999, with participating companies from the EU, Mexico and Central America. The event will be supported by the EU's AL-INVEST programme for business cooperation with Latin America and will offer SMEs from the EU, Mexico and Central America the opportunity to establish strategic alliances and joint ventures as well as to increase their competitiveness through market enlargement.

A total of eight complementary industrial sectors will be represented during the event:

- Food, beverages and agricultural products;
- Metal processing and products;
- Chemical, rubber and plastic products;
- Health care: medical and hospital supplies, equipment and tools;
- Environmental technologies;
- Leather and leather products;
- Textile and garments;
- telecommunications.

The event will comprise a series of business meetings which will be scheduled prior to the event. Participating companies may request meetings on the basis of a catalogue which will be circulated in advance.
