Bremen features Fifth Framework Programme

To introduce the European Union's Fifth Framework Programme for Research, the University of Bremen and the Bremen Senate are organising a conference on 4 and 5 February 1999.

"The European Union's Fifth Framework Programme for Research: Perspectives for Research and Economy" is aimed at those interested in developing European research projects in dialogue with the European Commission's programme designers and experts for coordinating institutions. Participants will include researchers, representatives of enterprises and research institutes, and students.

In line with EU research policy, the conference will aim to improve cooperation between R&D and the economy, with one of the main goals being to initiate cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and research institutes.
