Information days feature IST Programme

The Future and Emerging Technologies domain of the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme is organising two separate information days as a result of the launch of the Fifth Framework Programme at the beginning of this year.
They both focus on the proactive initiative on "quantum information processing and communication" and on "nanotechnology information devices". The two events have been planned to provide flexibility on the choice of time and location to allow the maximum number of people to attend.
The first information day will take place in Rome on 15 February 1999. The agenda is still under construction; however, anyone who wants to present their research ideas has one minute to do so, using one overhead foil.
The second information day will be held in Berlin on 9 March 1999. The same rules apply to presentations of research ideas as during the information day in Rome.
