Making use of patents

Those in both manufacturing and service industries who have some awareness or knowledge of patents and other aspects of intellectual property are invited to attend a seminar on 'Making use of patents' taking place in Inverness, Scotland, on 28 June 1999.

This seminar is intended to help people in local businesses use patents and the patenting system for commercial advantage. Additionally, it will demonstrate how to find and obtain information that could help develop or find new products or processes.

By using case studies, this event will show how patent information from the UK, the rest of Europe, Japan and the USA can be accessed locally in Inverness.

The event is being organised by the Innovation Relay Centre for Scotland in conjunction with Business Information Source, part of Highlands and Islands Enterprise, as well as the UK Patent Office and Napier University.
