Bio-engineering trade fair and congress

The 'Bio-engineering and products' trade fair will be held in Stuttgart, Germany, on 17 and 18 February 2000, alongside the established 'International congress on biochemical engineering'. Addressing all aspects of biotechnology processes - from the molecule to the product - the event is aimed at the industry and decision-makers from all over Germany and Europe.

The trade fair is expected to bring thousands of visitors from the health, chemical industry, environment and energy, and agriculture and nutrition sectors. It will be an ideal forum for contact-forming for large and small companies, research institutes, service providers and suppliers. A 'cooperation bourse' will help companies find partners; the 'user forum' will enable exhibitors to present their products and processes directly to a broad audience; the 'finance forum' will help companies find capital; and the 'Biomarket Aisle' will make it easy for small companies to exhibit at the fair.

The fourth international biochemical engineering congress will focus on the following topics, and is expected to attract around 500 delegates: biosystems engineering; biocatalysis; bioprocess engineering; designer proteins; and environmental biotechnology.
