EFVET conference on vocational education and training in the Information Society

The eighth annual conference of the European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EFVET) will take place in Odense, Denmark, from 18 to 20 November 1999.

Vocational Education and Training in the Information Society is the principal theme of the conference, while the issues of IT and internationalism, new teacher qualifications, new vocational skills, communication in the Information Society, IT and virtual mobility, IT and distance learning, and IT and lifelong learning will also be covered.

The conference is an opportunity to promote international cooperation between teachers, practitioners, principals, decision and policy makers within vocational, technical and business education and training, and is not restricted to members of EFVET. Representatives form national governments, enterprises and the European Commission will also be present.

Future EU programmes will be presented at the plenary session on Saturday 20 November.
