Measurement and Testing brokerage event

A brokerage event in the field of Measurement and Testing will be held in Chester, United Kingdom, on 10 December 1999. The event is being organised by Beta Technology, the UK National Contact Point for SMEs interested in participating in Measurement and Testing activities within the Competitive and Sustainable Growth programme.

The event will be of interest to SMEs, research providers and business development services, and is aimed at encouraging and supporting research projects designed to solve measurement problems. The focus of the event will be partnering activities with representatives from six countries present (UK, Spain, Denmark, Austria, The Netherlands and Italy). Projects looking for partners may submit details of their needs or set up a display of their project, while researchers or SMEs may advertise their expertise. The EU's research funding projects will be presented, including a presentation of a successful measurement project funded by the EU. There will also be information available on funding from other sources.

The organisers will also provide free, confidential advice to SMEs and researchers interested in participating in EU research projects as a follow-up service after the event.
