Human decision-making and manual control

EAM2000, the 19th European annual conference on human decision-making and manual control will be held in Ispra, Italy, from 26 to 28 June 2000.

The conference will continue the tradition established in 1981 in bringing together young researchers from different disciplines of the human-machine system field in an informal way.

It is intended to be a forum for extensive discussions of new and on-going work among all participants. It will therefore concentrate on presentations of technical papers.

The presentations and discussions will focus mainly on the following fields of research:

- Conceptual work;
- Robotics/telerobotics;
- Transport area;
- Communications;
- Medical application;
- Manufacturing systems.

The conference organisers from the Joint Research Centre's Institute for Systems, Informatics and Safety are calling for papers focussing on the following topics:

- System dependability features;
- Human errors;
- Cooperative support systems;
- Learning behaviour modelling;
- Learning processes and stimuli to knowledge;
- Teamwork and work organisation;
- Human-machine interaction.
