Protecting and enhancing heritage

The fourth European conference on research for protection, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage will take place in Strasbourg from 22 to 24 November.

The conference aims to raise awareness of the issues concerned in management and sustainable use of cultural heritage among national and local administrations, whilst also promoting participation and cooperation among both the business and research community.

The following themes will be discussed at the event:

- damage assessment and balance between costs and benefits of preservation;
- sustainable development of cities and preservation of cultural heritage;
- optical technologies for cultural heritage conservation;
- conservation materials;
- microclimate conditions of cultural heritage;
- tourism and sustainable management of cultural heritage.
