From functional genomics to systems biology: TRANSCRIPTOME 2000

TRANSCRIPTOME 2000, a conference looking at issues from functional genomics to systems biology, will be held in Paris, from 6 to 9 November 2000. It will be followed by the fifth international coordination workshop on complete cDNA sequencing and transcriptome analysis.
Speakers from all over the world will discuss and debate the most recent advances in the emerging field of functional genomics, the study of biological systems based on global knowledge of genomes, transcriptomes and proteomes.
Speakers will discuss progress in full length cDNA cloning and quality control in large scale sequencing programmes. They will also address the challenges of clustering the information collected to help genome annotation at the time when the complete or working draft of genome sequences are becoming available.
