CoR holds sustainable urban transport seminar

The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is holding a seminar on sustainable urban transport and the citizen as part of the Stockholm Transport Forum on 26 April in Stockholm.
Members of the CoR and experts from across Europe will exchange views on topics including the role of different levels of government in transport provision, the economic and social consequences of European transport policy and how to develop a quality urban environment.
The seminar comes at a time when the European Commission is about to launch a Communication on urban transport. COR members Anders Gustâv (vice-mayor of Solna) and José Maria Álvarez del Manzano (Mayor of Madrid) will draft the CoR's opinion on the Communication.Journalists wishing to attend to seminar should contact:
