Commission workshops to examine IST project research

A series of European Commission workshops to examine the progress of research projects set up under the first IST call for proposals will take place at the next Promoting Awareness and Communicating Technologies in Education (PROACTE) concertation meeting in Luxembourg on 3 and 4 September 2001.
The 'Showcase of action line activities' workshops will look at projects set up under the first IST call for proposals, including 'open platforms and tools', 'flexible university' and 'advanced training systems.' The aim of the events is to provide an opportunity for those involved in the projects to take stock of their progress from a general research perspective. During the workshops, each project resulting from the first call will be asked to present a summary of their results. This will also allow the Commission to make a general appraisal of the results achieved so far.For further information, please contact:
