Commission, MEPs and researchers discuss sustainable urban mobility

Research experts, representatives from the European commission, including EU Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin, and public and private stakeholders will come together in Brussels on 31 January to discuss the path 'Towards sustainable urban mobility'.
The meeting, which will be held in the European Parliament, aims to disseminate key results, assist policy makers in defining an appropriate policy framework and identify gaps in the research currently planned. MEP Alexander de Roo hopes that the event will to contribute to the drawing up of new proposals for reviewing the priorities of the Sixth Framework programme (FP6).
