The second Agrosanté forum on the relationship between healthy eating and healthy farming is taking place on 1 and 2 April in Beauvais, France.

For several years, concerns about health and well being have been the key element in the development of the food industry and more recently they have also become a determining factor in the future of agriculture.

Some 11 seminars will take place during the forum, focussing on the links and synergies between agriculture, the food industry and health.

Speakers at the forum will include representatives from: the Dutch research group TNO; the Inter university consortium for agricultural and related sciences in Europe (ICA); the French Institute of nutrition (IFN); the French national institute of agronomical research (INRA); the Pasteur institute of Lille (IPL); the national institute of agronomy from Paris-Grignon (INA-PG) and the universities of Iowa State, California-Berkeley, Missouri and Cork.

Presentations, exhibition stands, workshops and tasting sessions will give food professionals the opportunity to find new partners, identify new markets and promote their company and products.

The event will bring together the food, feed and pet food industries, raw materials producers, distributors, health professionals (nutritionists, doctors, vets, public health managers), pharmaceutical companies, agriculture professionals and international research centres. For further information, please contact:
