Conference: IT and telecoms in the Baltic Sea and CEE regions

The seventh international conference on information technologies (IT) and telecommunications in the Baltic Sea and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) regions will take place in Riga, Latvia, from 2 to 5 April.
The 'e-Baltics' event is sponsored by the European Commission's information society technology (IST) programme, and will bring together industry leaders, government officials, and senior academics and researchers.
Major workshops will be held on the topics of wireless communications, IST in the Sixth Framework Programme and the e-working environment, and the global cities dialogue. The event will also include a roundtable session on the Baltic Sea and CEE associations, an executive seminar on IT risk management, and an IT, telecoms and office automation exhibition.
General topics for discussion during the conference include: e-solutions, e-security, e-skills, and the Northern e-dimension. The event aims to increase coordination between IST projects in the two regions, encourage an exchange of experience, create a forum for discussion between government officials and industry leaders, and boost the development of the ICT sector.For further information, please consult the following web address:
