Conference to address alpine grazing

Researchers, students, farmers' associations and policy makers will gather in Piancavallo, Italy, on 5 and 6 September for a conference on the alpine grazing system.

The event will address transhumant systems of animal production, based on the summer mountain grazing of livestock.

The conference is being organised as part of the research project 'models on the sustainable development of agricultural and animal farming systems in the Alpine areas for landscape preservation and valorisation of local products' funded under the European Commission's Interreg III programme.For further information, please visit:
