International conference on ICT tools for logistics and freight transport

The Italian region of Emilia-Romagna will host a two day conference on the application of information and communications technologies (ICT) in the fields of logistics and freight transport on 1 and 2 December in Bologna, Italy.
European authorities and representatives from the transport and innovation technologies sectors will participate in the event. Topics to be discussed include:
- scenarios: patterns and practices in freight transport organisation, business models and logistic systems;
- technologies: maturity, applicability, market availability and accessibility of systems and equipments, new services and new architectures;
- securities: risks, dangers, problems, prescribed and desirable solutions for the security of goods, transport means and operators, and for environmental protection;
