Symposium on scientific publications

Within the scope of the EuroScience Open Forum, a symposium entitled 'Spreading the word: who profits from scientific publications?' will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on 26 August.

The symposium will be divided into two sessions, with the first focussing on the role of scientists as users, writers and reviewers of scientific papers, using classical and new technology for dissemination. The second session is devoted to issues faced by scientific learned societies in publishing and sustaining scientific journals, and on the new challenges faced by academic libraries.For further information, please contact:
