IST 2004 - Participate in your future

IST 2004, the most important date in the European information society technologies (IST) calendar, will be held in The Hague, the Netherlands, from 15 to 17 November, with the theme 'Participate in your future'.
The event is based around five elements: the conference, the exhibition, networking events, the 2004 IST Prize, and presentation of the IST work programme for 2005 to 2006.
The conference will look at long-term perspectives and trends in IST and its related policy to see how they affect the research agenda and research ambitions. Networking events aim to facilitate research team and consortium building, while the exhibition and IST Prize event will present some of the practical developments that are taking place in Europe.
The conference programme will appeal to decision makers from the public sector, private industry and the world of research, as well as interested citizens, young people and students. The common challenge facing them all is the improvement of prosperity, security and quality of life for all Europeans through the development of a citizen centred Information Society.For further information, please consult the following web address:
