The European Commission, DG XII, will hold a conference on "Science, philosophy, history of sciences in Europe" on 9-10 December 1994 in Paris.
The conference is organized as part of the European Science and Technology Forum, set up by the Commission to promote reflection and debate on the historical, social, ethical and cultural aspects of science and technology.
The aim of the conference is to examine, from a European perspective, the relationship between research and scientific education on the one hand, and philosophy and history of science on the other.
