A workshop entitled "The external cost of energy" will take place in Brussels on 30-31 January 1995. The event is being organized by the European Commission in conjunction with the Organization for Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The objective of the workshop is to discuss the present state of the art in relation to calculating the environmental impact of fuel cycles. Attention will focus on recent achievements in this field as well as on current issues. The workshop will examine the requirement for future research as well as opportunities for international cooperation.
