ACTS Information Day - Italy

A national information day on the Community's Advanced Communications Technologies and Services (ACTS) programme will be held in Rome, Italy, on 30 November 1995. The event is being organized by the Agency for the promotion of European research (APRE), the European Commission (DG XIII), the Italian Ministry for Research, the Italian Ministry for Post and Telecommunications and the Italian national host (Italhost - ITINERA).

The aim of the event will be to provide participants with background information on the ACTS programme and, more specifically, with guidelines on how to prepare and submit proposals under the second call for proposals for this programme, published on 15 September 1995.

Specific topics to be covered include:

- Italian participation in Community research programmes;
- Evolution of Community research in the field of telecommunications;
- The ACTS programme: specific and new aspects;
- Significance and role of the national host;
- How to prepare a good proposal: evaluation criteria, essential components and measures in favour of SMEs.
