The latest Information Technology (IT) World Congress, "Technology and Services in the Information Society", will be held in Bilbao, Spain, on 3-5 June 1996. This edition of the biennial IT World Congress will be hosted by the Spanish Information Technology Companies Association (SEDISI), and follows on from the last World Congress, held in Japan in 1994.
The congress is directed at IT business executives and leading users. The draft agenda includes plenary sessions on:
- Global infrastructures toward the Information Society;
- The world market place for IT products and services;
- Client/server computing;
- The user's view from the financial sector.
It will also include wide-ranging parallel sessions, industry visits and opportunities to develop contacts and form partnerships.
