A conference on EU project demand in the field of medical techniques, subtitled "Chances, ways and frontiers", will be held in Norderstedt, Germany, on 8 May 1996. The conference is organized by the "Medical technology in Schleswig-Holstein" working group.
The aim of the conference is to demonstrate the possibilities of EU-funded programmes in medical technology, and the available funding, for higher education institutions and SMEs in Schleswig-Holstein.
Owing to reduced funding from both national and local government in Germany, the competition for European funding is becoming increasingly hard. The conference therefore aims to assist smaller companies and institutions in accessing funding at European level. In particular, the conference will offer advice on the EU's specific RTD programme in the field of biomedicine and health (BIOMED).
