Second Alps Euroconference: Education of European management in a global economy

The Second Alps Euroconference, organized by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in collaboration with the European Network for Integrated Materials Management (ENIMM), will take place in Bologna, Italy, from 23 to 25 September 1996.

The conference will examine the education of European management in a global economy, with regard to new production systems, work and society. The following key themes will be presented:

- Globalization: the future of the triad;
- Growth, innovation and employment, and non-market forms of enterprise (the third sector);
- Education for all actors in the material chain - social, economic and environmental;
- The virtual economy: information and management technologies in the age of Internet and the World Wide Web;
- Effect on the global economy of the emergence of former Communist counties in Europe and Asia;
- New forms of work organization;
- Quality of life and work, occupation and growth.
