European colloquium on risk prevention

The first European colloquium on risk prevention will take place in Niort, France, from 16 to 22 October 1996. The colloquium is being organized by the European Centre for Risk Prevention (CEPR) and supported by the European Parliament and the European Commission's representation office in France.
The theme of the conference is human behaviour and risk prevention, with three major topics being discussed:
- Children and roads;
- Local communities and prevention;
- Technologies and services - an aid to life.
The conference programme will include round tables and plenary sessions. Participants will include representatives of insurance organizations, local communities, researchers and Commission officials, as well as all those directly involved in risk prevention. The aim is to encourage dialogue on the subject of risk prevention with the experiences of insurance organizations serving as a starting point for discussions.
