Transport Research Information Day - France

An "Information Day" on transport research activities under the Community's Fourth RTD Framework Programme will be held in Paris, France, on 5 December 1996. The Information Day is being organized by ANRT (Association Nationale de la Recherche Technique), an associate member of the Innovation Relay Centre network.

The aim of the Day is to examine possible synergies between Community RTD programmes and the French PREDIT programme for research and innovation in terrestrial transport. In particular, the Day will provide information on calls for proposals due to be launched on 17 December 1996 in three of the specific RTD programmes under the Fourth Framework Programme:

- The TRANSPORT programme;
- The Telematics Applications programme;
- The Industrial Materials and Technologies programme (BRITE/EURAM).

Speakers at the event will include representatives of the Commission responsible for each of these programmes, as well as representatives of the French Ministries responsible for research in the equivalent areas. In addition, there will be a short discussion on the position of transport in the forthcoming Fifth Framework Programme.
