European measures for environmental protection

A colloquium on Community measures for environmental protection will be held in Avignon, France, on 3-4 February 1997. Organized by Euromission, in collaboration with the European Commission and the Maison de l'Europe d'Avignon et de Vaucluse, the colloquium aims to provide information on Community environment programmes to French information relays and potential programme participants.
The event will focus on the Community's LIFE financial instrument for the environment, which funds environmental projects. The programme will cover two of the three sectors of LIFE: LIFE-Environment and LIFE-Nature. Participants will learn more about these programmes and see presentations of projects supported by LIFE. In addition, there will be a discussion on European environmental policy with participants from the Commission and France.
